INFORMATION LETTER
Title identifying the research: Impact of a Monitoring and Bibliographic Analysis program via a dedicated website on changes in practices and the experiences of healthcare professionals caring for patients infected with SARS-CoV-2.
Short title : BiblioVid
Madam, sir,
We are requesting your compliance today as the investigators in charge of this research project, Dr Alexandre BELLIER (Grenoble Alpes University Hospital, Medical Evaluation Service) and Mrs RICHOUX Jessica (Resident in Pulmonology, Marseille University Hospital), wish to use the data from the questionnaire you are about to answer. This research is organized by the Grenoble Alpes University Hospital.
DESCRIPTION OF THE STUDY
This research involves assessing the practices of health professionals in relation to the COVID-19 epidemic and the consultation of the bibliovid.org website. With the emergence of a new virus, SARS-CoV-2, and the advent of an epidemic in France, it is necessary to adapt the organization of the healthcare system to cope with the flow of infected patients. However, in the presence of an unknown infection, the scientific literature is growing exponentially. At the same time, it is essential for clinicians to use the latest data in the literature in order to make the best evidence-based medicine decision for the patients. However, this process requires time, which is precious for caregivers. We therefore suggest that the early implementation of a literature monitoring system with a clear overview can facilitate regular knowledge updates. Using this knowledge, healthcare professionals in each clinical department can ensure the appropriate transfer of information related to this monitoring tool in order to regularly adapt the algorithm for the management of infected patients in accordance with Evidence Based Medicine.
This study starts in April 2020 and is expected to be completed by July 2020.
BENEFITS, CONSTRAINTS AND RISKS
This research questionnaire does not provide any direct benefit to the participants through their participation. However, it will provide physicians with a better understanding about knowledge transfer and the impact of the epidemic on the work practices of healthcare providers.
This study is being conducted based on the answers you provide to the questionnaire that will follow. It will not require any identification from you and will not pose any risk to you.
