COVID-19 infectivity profile correction
The goal of this study is to determine the infectivity profile of an individual –that is, the temporal distribution of new infections from that individual—around the time of the appearance of symptoms. An earlier analysis by He et al., based on a study of the time to the appearance of symptoms in 77 confirmed cases, showed that individuals infected with SARS-CoV-2 become contagious approximately 2.5 days before showing symptoms. This article redoes the original analysis from the same data, and in correcting an error in the analysis, the authors demonstrate that the pre-symptomatic contagious period could have been underestimated.

Optimal COVID-19 epidemic control until vaccine deployment
The objective of this study is to determine strategies that permit control of an epidemic by limiting the maximum number of deaths due to the epidemic, as well as the cost associated with the control policy. Specifically, the article incorporates increases in mortality due to saturation of the health care system. Different “actualized” strategies are also considered, such as a control policy unrolled at regular intervals, a constant control policy, or alternation between periods of maximal (complete containment) and minimal control.

Contact rate epidemic control of COVID-19: an equilibrium view
The goal of this article is to study the impact of individual considerations on organization of quarantine measures to control an epidemic. The model considered here is that of an SIR-type epidemic; that is, a dynamic epidemic in a large population. The goal of the centralized quarantine strategy is to minimize the total number of people infected and the time spent in quarantine, while the goal of the individuals is not to be infected, and to be in quarantine for as little time as possible. The article compares the results of the centralized strategy and the individual strategy, and thus measures the “price of anarchy,” the number of secondary infections due to the absence of centralized planning.

Expected impact of reopening schools after lockdown on COVID-19 epidemic in Île-de-France.
The aim of the study is to predict the impact of the reopening of schools (nursery, elementary, middle and high schools) from May 11 on the spread of the virus in Île-de-France. Several scenarios are compared: continued closure, partial reopening, gradual reopening, complete reopening. The article addresses the issue of uncertainty on susceptibility and infectivity depending on the age group and several parameters are tested.

A Modelling Study for Designing a Multi-layered Surveillance Approach to Detect the Potential Resurgence of SARS-CoV-2
The authors divide the population into several groups: people visiting "fever clinics", hospitalised people (different services in the hospital), health care staff (in different types of services and in "fever clinics"), and the general public, and look for the best allocation of PCR tests to detect the earliest cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection.
